Graduate Program Overview
The School of Industrial Engineering and Management at International University – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (IU – VNUHCM) aims to attract, educate and prepare students to be leaders in the Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) field in Vietnam and Asia. The school of IEM offers programs to satisfy the needs of Vietnam in industry development, research, education, and entrepreneurship in the field. Master programs currently available include:

Program objectives
Within 2–3 years of graduation, the graduates of the Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program are capable of:
Practicing at an advanced level in logistics and supply chain management across diverse sectors, who:
- Design, optimize, and lead complex logistics and global supply chain systems.
- Manage and coordinate supply chain operations using systems thinking, analytics, and digital transformation tools.
- Improve integrated supply chain performance through quantitative modeling and engineering judgment.
- Support decision-making in supply chain using analytics, optimization, and engineering judgment.
Pursuing lifelong learning and professional development, including advanced certification, specialization, or doctoral studies, to remain at the forefront of logistics and supply chain innovation.
Leading interdisciplinary teams and projects, demonstrating strategic thinking, communication, and professional integrity in global and multicultural environments
Contributing to the advancement of industry and society, particularly in Vietnam and the region, by applying systems thinking and engineering methodologies to address complex logistics and supply chain challenges with ethical and sustainable considerations.
Intended Learning Outcomes
(1) An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex logistics and supply chain problems by applying advanced principles of engineering, analytics, and systems thinking.
(2) An ability to design and improve logistics networks and supply chain systems that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors
(3) An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, including supply chain professionals, executives, and academic stakeholders
(4) An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in logistics and supply chain decision-making and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts
(5) An ability to function effectively on a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership to establish goals, plan tasks, and deliver results in complex logistics and global supply chain projects.
(6) An ability to develop and apply advanced analytics in supply chain systems and use engineering judgment to optimize their performance.
(7) An ability to independently acquire and apply new knowledge, demonstrating autonomy, initiative, and adaptability to evolving technologies, analytical tools, and global practices in logistics and supply chain management.

- Course Assessment Guide:
According to the Academic Regulations of IU-VNU, the assessments fall into three categories as follows:
- Final exam: 35% – 60%
- Mid-term exam: 20% – 40%
- Others (e.g. In-class quizzes, group presentations, etc): 10% – 30%
The final grade of a laboratory course includes:
- Laboratory assignment: 70% – 80%
- Laboratory final exam: 20% – 30%
