1 INTRODUCTION OF ADMISSION PROGRAM
In 2023, the International University (VNU-HCM) recruited 2,830 targets for 2 training programs (granted by International University and joint training) at the undergraduate level with 6 different methods. In 2023, International University recruited 23 training majors awarded by the International University (of which 2 are expected to open in 2023) and nearly 30 associate training programs.
2 RECRUITMENT METHOD
In 2023, International University has 6 different admission methods.
2.1 Method 1: Admission is based on the results of the High School Graduation exam
Target: 50% – 70%
– Method Code: 100
– Candidates for admission: Candidates who graduated from high school and completed the high school graduation exam in 2023.
– Admission rules:
+ Consider the total score of 03 subjects in the 2023 high school graduation exam according to the selection combination registered by the candidate.
+ For candidates who register using a test group including English, if the candidate has an IELTS Academic or TOEFL iBT English certificate, they can convert the average score of English in the selection group as follows:

2.2 Method 2: Priority admission according to regulations of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM)
Target: 5% – 15%

Candidates for admission: Excellent students graduating from high school in 2023 of schools in the list announced by VNU-HCM (the list will be announced later).
Admission requirements:
+ Graduated from high school in 2023.
+ Achieved the title of excellent student in 3 years of studying in grade 10, grade 11, and grade 12; or a member of a school or provincial team to participate in the national excellent student competition.
+ Have good conduct in 10th grade, 11th grade and 12th grade.
Admission Rules:
+ Consider the average score of 3 years of high school education (grades 10, 11, and 12) of the selection group registered by the candidate.
+ Candidates are allowed to register up to 03 aspirations into the majors of the International University. Candidates are only admitted to 01 highest priority aspiration in the list of registered aspirations.
+ For candidates who register using a test group including English, if the candidate has an IELTS Academic or TOEFL iBT English certificate, they can convert the average score of English in the selection group as follows:

2.3 Method 3: Direct admission, priority is given to direct admission
Target: 1%
– Method 3.1: Direct admission, priority is given to admission according to the regulations on university and college enrollment in 2023 of the Ministry of Education and Training (Education and Training).

Comply with the plans, regulations, and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.
– Method 3.2: Priority is given to direct admission of the best candidates in high schools in 2023
Method Code: 303
Candidates for admission: Applicable to high schools including elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, middle schools and high schools, excluding continuing education centers.
+ The Principal/Board of Directors recommends 01 best candidates in high school according to the following criteria
Main criteria:
Excellent academic performance and Good conduct in 3 years of high school.
The average score of 3 years of high school is in the group of 3 highest students.
Combined criteria:
Certificate or Certificate of Merit for winning the Provincial/City Excellent Student Award, First, Second, and Third Prizes (choose the highest award achieved in high school).
International language certificates.
Certificates or certificates of merit, other records related to academic achievements and training during the course of study
Selection principle: Selection of candidates who are introduced according to the criteria specified according to the allocated quota. The admissions committee considers adding appropriate criteria during the admissions process.
2.4 Method 4: Admission is based on the results of the Competency Assessment (Qualification) exam conducted by Vietnam National University-HCM or the Competence Assessment conducted by Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-HN) (official announcement after the regulations of VNU-HCM) – HCM).
Target: 10% – 45%.

Candidates for admission: Candidates who have graduated from high school and participated in the competency assessment exam organized by VNU-HCM or VNU-HN in
Admission Rules:
+ Judging by the results of the competency assessment exam from high to low until the end of each sector’s target.
+ Candidates are only admitted to 01 highest priority aspiration in the list of registered aspirations.
2.5 Method 5: Admission for candidates graduating from foreign high school programs or candidates graduating from high schools with international certificates.
Target: 5% – 10%.

Candidates for Admission:
Candidates, who are foreigners or Vietnamese, have graduated from high school awarded by a foreign country in Vietnam or graduated from a foreign high school program according to the list in the Appendix (high schools not listed in the Appendix will be Admission Committee considers and approves on a case-by-case basis).
Candidates who have graduated from high school and have an international certificate: SAT – Scholastic Assessment Test; ACT – American College Testing; IB – International Baccalaureate; A- Level – Cambridge International Examinations A-Level; ATAR – Australian Tertiary Admission Rank, ….

+ Admission to domestic programs:
For candidates who are eligible for admission (1): Academic grade point average (GPA) of 03 years of study from the category of Good or higher.
For candidates who are eligible for admission (2): The minimum score is specified as follows:

2.6 Method 6: Admission is based on high school results (this method only applies to joint training programs with foreign partners).
– Target: 10% – 20%.

Candidates for admission: Candidates who have graduated from high school.
Admission Rules:
+ Admission score = Total average score of 03 subjects of 03 years of high school according to the combination of subjects registered for admission + Priority score (if any).
+ Judging by admission scores from high to low until the end of each industry target. In case many candidates have the same admission score, the school will consider a secondary criterion which is the candidate’s IELTS (≥ 6.0) or TOEFL iBT (60-78) score.
+ Each candidate is allowed to register a maximum of 3 admission aspirations. Candidates can only qualify for 01 highest aspiration.
+ For candidates who register for the English language test group, if the candidate has an IELTS Academic or TOEFL iBT English certificate, they can convert the average score of English in the selection group as follows:

3 INFORMATION ON SCHOLARSHIP, SCHOLARSHIP, AND FEES FREE DISCOUNT POLICY
Every year, the International University spends 37 billion VND from the school’s funding to provide scholarships to students, students who achieve good results in the entrance exam as well as those who have good academic achievements at the school.
3.1 ADMISSION SCHOLARSHIP
Number of scholarships: 8% of the target for each industry (The percentage of full and partial scholarships will be decided by the Admission Council)

3.2 Conditions to retain admission scholarship
+ Scores of each course must be at least 50.
+ GPA must be at least 70/100.
